Summary: Support Clinical Director and Program Coordinators in assessment and analysis related to behavior intervention plans, assessing treatment efficacy and integrity, conducting evaluations of instructional staff, and providing administrative support (e.g., filing, record keeping, ordering crisis management supplies). Provide support to the program, including assuming teaching responsibilities as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Clinical Director and Program Coordinators in conducting assessments (including functional analyses), developing, implementing and evaluating BIPs, skill replacement programs, and fading plans
  • Support Program Coordinators in ongoing staff training needs (e.g., treatment integrity, inter-observer agreement) and evaluation of behavioral programming efficacy through data review
  • Organize and develop materials for BIPs and skill replacement programs
  • Hold confidential all knowledge of students and their families
  • Support Autism Program Clinical Director and Program Coordinators to provide training in evidence-based instructional practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavior disorders
  • Oversee organization and maintenance of all crisis management supplies/materials (e.g., impact cushions/mats, manuals, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to administrative team (e.g., ordering protective gear, organizing files for off-site storage, filing and record keeping, etc.)
  • Serve as a member of Ivymount’s Behavior Analytic Team, Peer Review, and Research Committees
  • Assume ABA instructor and or Senior ABA Instructor responsibilities as needed

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with enrollment in a graduate program in ABA, Psychology, or Special Education OR Master’s degree and enrollment in course sequence to obtain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing behavior services (e.g., functional assessment, implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans [BIP],crisis management, and data collection)
  • Experience working in an ABA based classroom (using DTI, prompt fading, etc.)
  • Understanding of behavioral principles and function-based treatment
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • Adherence to a high level of professional and ethical standards
  • Flexibility with regard to daily routine and responsibilities
  • Support of program philosophy
  • Computer skills related to common office tasks such as email, conducting internet searches, and using MSOffice (e.g., MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
