The Business Affairs Division Director is the organization’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), supervising the managers within the Business Affairs Division (i.e., the General Services Office and the Accounting, Contracts, and Human Resources Offices). The Business Affairs Division Director works with these managers to provide business management services for the organization in a variety of areas. The Business Affairs Division Director works with the President and other corporate officers to set company policy and corporate goals and to develop and carry out strategic plans. He or she also works closely with the President in all business matters, keeping the President informed and advising him or her on decisions and actions to be taken in that area.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA or CPA-level expertise and experience required, as well as extensive experience in accounting and management.

Qualified candidate must have a mastery of accounting and management concepts, principles, and practices. Knowledge and experience to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies or programs. Knowledge and experience to make judgments about alternative methods or applications and to interpret difficult technical information. 

In-depth knowledge of non-profit accounting best practices and financial management of federal government contracts required. A high level of attention to detail required. Experience with Deltek’s Costpoint Accounting system highly desired.
