Requirements

Salesforce Technical Architect, Technology Services - Office of Advancement

The Salesforce Technical Architect is responsible for translating business needs into the overall design, configuration management and continuous improvement of Georgetown360, the Gambit replacement. S/he is directly responsible for ensuring overall architectural performance, security, integrations and scalability across the enterprise, while focused on the needs of the Office of Advancement. Reporting to the Senior Director for Technology Services, the Salesforce Technical Architect has duties that include but are not limited to:

Performance

  • Ensures performance and system integrity.
  • Designs and oversees regression testing.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues (integrations, data model, architecture, and security).
  • Continuously monitors system for enhancements.

Design

  • Translates business needs into the design, test, and implementation of object model enhancements/modifications.
  • Ensures configuration control, user and regression testing.
  • Ensures consistency with system configuration and security processes, procedures, and guidelines.

Testing

  • Oversees regression testing of new software releases.
  • Works with vendor teams to identify/troubleshoot issues.

New Functions

  • Assesses new functionality/ enhancements/requirements to include third party software and other products for both ability to meet business needs and consistency with enterprise architecture/infrastructure.
  • Designs new functionality to minimize impacts to existing architecture.
  • Oversees development, testing, and implementation of new functionality.

Collaboration

  • Works with the UIS teams to ensure system integrity of existing/new functionality.
  • Assists other developers in learning new functionality, products.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in math, business, computer science or engineering
  • These Salesforce certifications (awarded not pending): System Architect, Application Architect
  • 5 to 8 years professional experience in a related field - preference for experience implementing Salesforce at an enterprise level within higher education or a non-profit organization
