    For ND-03
    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-02 (GS-5/8 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist utilizing basic professional or scientific techniques, procedures, and methods to accomplish developmental assignments.
    OR
    Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree. OR
    Successfully completed a master's or equivalent grad degree.
    OR
    Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement and I have one year of professional engineering experience that required and was characterized by 1) professional knowledge of engineer, 2) professional ability to apply such knowledge to engineer problems, and 3) positive and continuing development of professional knowledge and ability. OR
    Successfully completed a 5 year program of study of at least 160 semester hours leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering and have one year of appropriate professional experience that required and was characterized by 1) professional knowledge of engineering, 2) professional ability to apply such knowledge to engineering problems, and 3) positive and continuing development of professional knowledge and ability.
    OR
    have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of exp. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

    For ND-04
    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist researching, interpreting, and carrying out professional or scientific assignments and providing technical input on the planning, design, construction, testing or maintenance of projects.

    The Signatures Department at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) assures that surface ships, submarines, and other navy vehicles have signature characteristics which will ensure their operational superiority over other navy. NSWCCD is a full-spectrum research and development center with expertise that spans multiple science and engineering disciplines. Signatures Department scientists and engineers serve as the primary R and D, test, and evaluation team for the Navy's ships, submarines, and unmanned vehicles. Much of the work in the Signatures Department includes hands-on testing, data analysis, computational development and simulation, design evaluation, and working directly with the Fleet.
