Position Overview
The Application Management, Professional position is within the Single Family Architecture and Platform’s Group of the IT Division at Freddie Mac. This is an opportunity to join a fast paced team that interacts with all areas of Freddie Mac’s business and provides excellent experience and knowledge across the IT spectrum. This team is responsible for Level 2 Production support of all of Freddie Mac’s applications. The team is made up of talented individuals who thrive in a challenging work environment and enjoy utilizing their problem-solving skills. The Application Management, Professional role will provide experienced daily support and participate in project rollouts, and provide guidance and oversight to team members. Responsibilities
* Changing of System Account and Application passwords
* Communication and coordination with partner teams to change passwords
* Provide solutions to technical issues
* Support applications from all internal business lines
* Use previously-defined solutions and knowledge management articles to solve technical issues
* Engage with the business users, application owners and other affected parties during problem resolution
* Serve as a champion for change
* Ability to positively adapt to rapidly growing and changing environment, while working under pressure
* Document lessons learned, help maintain knowledge database
* Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation coverage to all supported applications

Basic Requirements
* Associate’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience, or be in process of achieving college degree
* 2 years of Information Technology experience
* 2 years of hands-on experience with office automation applications
* Basic knowledge of or experience with one or more of the following Databases (Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) and security (AD, TAM, LDAP)
* Understanding of Service and System Account functionality
* Basic understanding of security best practices

Preferred Skills
* Hands-on experience with Remedy or Service Now
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
* Strong decision making and problem solving skills
* Sound interpersonal and team working skills
* Must be detail oriented
* Must be self-sufficient and self-reliant
* Must be flexible for shift rotation
