D.C. law firm with a stellar reputation seeks a Legal Recruiting & Professional Development Training Coordinator to assist with the delivery of various programs and projects which include support for training and development, recruitment, and diversity initiatives. 

The Coordinator will be working in the following areas:

(Legal Personnel and Development)

>Coordinating evaluations for attorneys

>Assisting with the attorney compensation process

>Assisting with on-boarding

>Tracking payments

>Running various reports

>Supporting the Firm's Work-Life-Balance Committee

(Professional Development and Training)

>Coordinating the legal development and training programs for attorneys, including new attorneys and summer associates

>Assisting with the development and delivery of training programs

>Managing meeting and program logistics

>Assessing training needs

>Creating and evaluating surveys


>Assisting in the design and coordination of all aspects of the Firm’s Summer Associate Program, including pre-arrival processes and communications, orientation, mentoring program with partners and associates, social and community service events, diversity events and initiatives, and educational and special Firm programming  

>Coordinating diversity presentations and receptions on-campus as well as related outreach to student groups

>Ensuring accuracy of recruitment and interview process data

>Assisting with Affirmative Action plan compliance and reporting

(Diversity and Inclusion)

>Assisting with planning and coordinating various Firm-wide and local Diversity and Inclusion programs, events, and meetings, including securing meeting rooms, meeting room preparation, on-site coordination, and trouble shooting

>Serving as local office liaison for the Women’s Leadership Initiative Steering Committee and Diversity Committee, responsible for the execution of local office events and programs

>Providing support to both the Firm-wide Director and Manager of Diversity and Inclusion on various initiatives, including responding to RFPs and other requests for data as well as other projects supporting Diversity and Inclusion at the Firm

>Serving as a member of the local Diversity Committee staff, participating in Diversity Committee and Subcommittee meetings, and preparing initial drafts of meeting minutes

>Cultivating strong working relationships with / providing ongoing support, guidance, and assistance to the local Diversity Committee members


>College degree required

>Should have law firm or professional service experience

>Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, take initiative, and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and talent management software such as viDesktop, LawCruit, or PeopleSoft
