Description: Peraton is seeking a Multimedia / WebDeveloper in Washington DC to support our Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Customer. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will include software development for web based applications. Development will be performed on-site at the NRL facility in a small team environment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Education required - Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience (10+ years)) Minimum of 10+ years in web based software development (focused on Service Layer or Web Tier development) in an Agile development methodology. The list of tools/libraries/architectures that a candidate should be highly proficient in are: Java, JavaScript (OpenLayers, ExtJS 4.x, jQuery), CM Tools (JIRA, Confluence, FishEye, SVN, Subclipse/etc.), CI Tools (Hudson, Jenkins), Maven, ORM (Hibernate 3.6/4.0+), MVC (Spring, ExtJS 4.x), Annotations (eg as used in Hibernate/Spring), REST-based web services, DOCKER Containerization, HTML 5.X, CSS, Java Design Patterns & Best Practices PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Flexibility with external customer interaction and Agile software development cycles Familiarity and/or experience with: Cloud technology - Accumulo, HDFS, etc. Database and SQL interfaces Unix/Linux Operating System The list of tools/libraries/architectures that a candidate should be familiar with are: HTML5, Ajax, JAXB, Reverse Ajax implementations (DWR/Web Sockets), Grails, Spring Security, basic Linux command line navigation, SSL configuration, Web container configuration (setup of cluster, load-balancing, etc. in containers like JBoss/Tomcat).. Strong communication skills Excellent teamwork SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS/SCI security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
