What Youll Do Participate in developing complex full-stack web applications for federal government systems modernization programs Work with the development team to interpret feature requests and develop software in iterative design/build/test cycles using an Agile development process High interest in taking on new initiatives and new task orders to build innovative functionality into the evolving systems Develops robust back-end systems and the APIs that support the functionality Drawing on components from the projects open-source framework, use Java, RESTful web services, and Java Spring MVC to design, build and test software components Regularly check code into our continuous integration pipeline based on Maven, Gradle, Git and Jenkins to incrementally build our overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems Ensure code base is testable, efficient, maintainable, and remains compliant with the various standards Assists in resolving production support problems Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the individual to simultaneously manage several tasks, while paying attention to detail and quality Proactively communicates with the development and management to anticipate configuration management issues/processes Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project life-cycle What Were Looking For Bachelors Degree in a complimentary discipline US Citizen based on client requirements Ability to obtain a security clearance 3+ years software development and engineering experience implementing Java-based solutions 1+ years of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using Java 1.7 (or greater) At least one of the following: 1+ software development 1+ operations support 1+ years of Spring, RESTful and SOAP-based API web services 1+ years of experience in using DevOps tools (Jenkins/Hudson/Bamboo) 1+ years experience with Linux OS (RedHat) Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing Agile environment It's helpful if you have Motivation to work with both Java software and evolving DevOps tools Solid understanding and working experience with Git branching and merging Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, ex. JUnit Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases Understanding of continuous integration and deployment best practices Exposure to cloud development with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Working experience with monitoring systems, continuous integration systems, middleware & database components with Puppet & Chef Experience with microservices, Docker, and container orchestration Experience with other open-source components a plus, including Gradle, Activiti / jBPM, jQuery, MuleSoft, Geb , Kong and Spock Why TeraThink is a Great Place to Work Benefits: We love coming to work every day.
