Description: Peraton is currently seekinga Mid-Level Systems/Network Administrator to join our research team at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC (located near the Wilson Bridge and off of 295). JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will review current IT infrastructure and identify future HW/SW configuration compliance needs. Will work with customer and onsite technical reps to ensure compliance with RMF (formerly DIACAP) regulations or other DON/DOD security compliance regulations. Act as primary Network and Systems Administrator for a network comprised of PC, Mac and Linux systems. Provide primary networking support to networked systems, provide software and hardware maintenance following compliance requirements. Position will be responsible for the following: Install, configure and maintain MS Windows Active Directory domain with Primary and Secondary controllers Install, configure and maintain WSUS and Apple Update Server for patch management Use Group Policies to manage domain policies and push third party software installations to clients Understanding of PKI and configuring CAC smart cards for system login and website access Integrate Apple Macs and Linux systems into a MS Windows domain using Centrify or other similar applications Provide installation, configuration and maintenance of Belarc Belmanage for Windows, Apple/Mac and Linux monitoring and reporting or similar security management system(s) Use encryption tools particularly Bitlocker and Winmagic Securedoc Support TCP/IP networking including subnetting, DHCP and NAT REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field and 6+ years of related Network and Systems Administration experience. 1+ years of related IT work experience on Apple/Mac 6+ years of related IT work experience on PC/Windows systems Network+/Security+ or CISSP Certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supporting DoN/DoD network, ensures STIG compliance, use of ACAS Strong communication skills Excellent teamwork SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to already have a current Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
