Description: We are seeking a Senior NetworkEngineer in Quantico, Virginia to support our Department of Justice programs. JOB DESCRIPTION : This position will provide systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex, non-standard networks. Position requires advanced technical knowledge in all areas of network/systems administration, engineering, and security. Candidate will contribute to the design and development of innovative research projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The candidate shall perform the following duties: Build, optimize, and maintain nationwide infrastructure Build, optimize, and maintain private, hybrid, and public cloud services Provide technical leadership in planning, investigation, design & implementation of physical and logical communications solutions having network-wide impact Participate in and influence marketing proposals and studies by providing costing models, reports, and technical solutions for network-wide projects Identify product modifications and incorporate these changes into work products Plan, design, and implement network management systems to monitor, diagnose, control and measure performance of multiple communication networks Plan, design, and implement service and task automation Identify, analyze, and recommend new network administrative systems for entire networks to ensure accurate network inventory and timely implementation REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree a minimum or 10+ years relevant professional experience, or a commensurate combination of education, training and experience, is required. Seven (7) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering. Includes two (2) years of specialized experience related to Senior Network Engineering. Shall possess as a minimum a: Cisco certification, Security+, CCNA and/or CCDA certification Seven (7) years of experience with LINUX/UNIX, DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, LANS, WANS and protocols. Seven (7) years of experience in the configuration & administration of LAN/CAN/WAN network devices to include routers, switches, security appliances, firewalls, etc. Five (5+) years of experience working with Virtual Networks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers Proficient in network monitoring/management systems familiarity Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Solid written and verbal communication skills Strong investigative drive Self-motivated individuals The ability to work under pressure and be flexible with their time Ability to work autonomously, self-starter Ability to prioritize and document tasks is a plus SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
