The Electronics Technician candidate will have installation / build experience with complex Audio Visual Multimedia (AVMM) systems and Local Area Network (LAN) Systems on and off site. Ability to trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems required, especially Direct View and LED video wall (VW) technologies. Preferred applicants should be able to discuss examples of completed projects and provide positive references. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Maintenance and support of Direct View displays and LED video walls. Developing system mock ups to support testing and integration. Perform stage II, stage V and stage VII testing on equipment. Build, Test and Troubleshoot equipment and network configurations Develop infrastructure design and MPL/MEL Build out infrastructure under various site conditions Read/Understand System Block diagrams. Read/Install to detailed build to drawings Research materials and generating materials lists and quotes Track inventory and all related data for all equipment Providing quality assurance reviews post system installation Conducting site surveys Required Qualifications Direct View video display installation and maintenance experience. Minimum 5 years experience. Ability to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship. Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders. Ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required to create a fully functional AV system. This includes Direct View video displays, LED VWs, display systems, screens, cameras, switches, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices. A working knowledge of today's AV and VTC technology. Knowledgeable of current mounting options for AV designs Ability to respond to changes in a short time. Desired Qualifications Ability to read AV System wiring diagrams and schematics. Experience troubleshooting and testing AVMM systems. Experience with installation of large scale fiber optic network infrastructure. Experience working on VTC installations requiring power input modifications. Experience with electrical wiring and conduit Experience with structural mounting of AV equipment in ceilings, walls and floors. Experience using man lifts to install AV equipment in high ceilings. Physical Requirements: Standing, Sitting, Climbing, Near Acuity, Speaking, Listening, Walking, Carrying, Grasping, Pulling or Pushing, Crawling, Sight, Use of Hands/Fingers to handle/feel. Required to travel CONUS and OCONUS 50% of the time.
