Description: Peraton is seeking a Software Developerfor Web Applications in Alexandria VA to support our Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Customer. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will include software development for web based applications. Development will be performed at the Prime contractor's facility in Alexandria VA. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Education required - Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience (3+ years)) Minimum of 3+ years in web based software development (focused on Service Layer development) in an Agile development methodology. The list of tools/libraries/architectures that a candidate should be highly proficient in are: Java, JSON, Configuration Management Tools (JIRA, Confluence, git), Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Maven), Web design tools eg MVC (Spring), Annotations (as used in Spring), REST-based web services, Java Design Patterns & Best Practices PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Flexibility with external customer interaction and Agile software development cycles Familiarity and/or experience with: Cloud technology - Amazon Web Services Database and SQL interfaces including JOOQ Unix/Linux Operating System The list of tools/libraries/architectures that a candidate should be familiar with are: JAXB, basic Linux command line navigation, SSL configuration, basic understanding of Apache camel. Strong communication skills Excellent teamwork SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
