Provide support for systems and database administration services required for the successful sustainment of National Maritime Intelligence Center's (NMIC's) DevLAN. DevLAN is a Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) consisting of multiple networks with firewalls acting as boundaries and gateways. Distribution to computers throughout the building is accomplished by configuring distribution switches and specific ports with the required VLANs. Hardware platforms consist of, but are not limited to, Oracle (Sun), Dell, HP, NCS and other x86 Client/Server environments. Fabric attached storage consists of NetApp hardware, OS and associated utilities and Brocade SAN switches. Networks are IP-based and consist primarily of Cisco Systems hardware. Operating systems consist of Sun Solaris, Linux (various distributions), Windows (all currently supported versions) and VMWare's ESXi/VSphere Server and Workstation. Databases and/or applications are primarily Oracle (to include Forms, Reports) but also include Microsoft SQL Server, SQL*PLUS, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Discoverer, MS Access and potentially Sybase. Cluster-based column oriented data platforms such as Vertica are often implemented in support of specific efforts. Cloud infrastructures include industry standard architectures including platform as a service (PAAS), infrastructure as a service (IAAS), Distributed storage and processing platforms such as Hadoop are also supported. Working Group and assists in updating corporate Project Management processes, standards and templates. Development support is accomplished in accordance within a DevOps framework utilizing a common components workbench and cloud services such as GovCloud. Participates in the Project Management Office (PMO) Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support all functions listed in the job description above. Qualifications: Extensive Microsoft Windows Server Experience. Experience with Microsoft Clustering Services - SQL and File Clustering. Experience with .Net, Exchange, and IIS infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of hardware and software components of Windows operating systems. In depth knowledge of topology of Storage Area Network and its Support. Extensive experience administering Active Directory and managing Group Policy. Ability to evaluate, test and deploy infrastructure hardware and software. Ability to perform extensive troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trending analysis. Ability to provide installation, maintenance, and tuning of hardware and software systems. Ability to install and configure Operating Systems Software and administer Active Directory administration and manage Group Policy. Ability to install and configure Cluster Services to support highly available Databases. Ability to install and configure Web Servers and Software. Ability to install and configure Automation and monitoring tools. All Contractor personnel MUST meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements (not necessarily Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP); ie other certifications such as Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), General Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), etc. may meet the requirements). Desired Qualifications: Large data center experience highly desirable.
