Description: We are seeking a ServerRoom Technician in Washington, DC to support our NRL customer. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for the following: Maintaining proper operating conditions of the computer space for all IT and networking gear. Installing data center infrastructure including racks and cabinets w/grounding, cable management, copper and fiber networking cable, patch panels and any other materials necessary for data center operations. Rack and stack equipment including network switches/routers and computer servers. Monitoring and reacting to alert and alarm conditions generated from management system. Installation and maintenance of management system (ie need to replace management system with something new) Physically monitor all compute spaces. Complete Walk-throughs for HVAC systems, power distribution systems, fire detection systems, access control, and security systems. Conduct preventative/minor corrective maintenance routines in conjunction with various hardware maintenance schedules REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and 3+ years relevant experience. 3+ years experience with basic electrical theory calculating power, voltage, and current usage. 3+ years experience calucating cool needs. Experience with best data center practices including hot aisle cold aisle rack configuration. 3+ years experience developing, updating and maintaining all standard operating procedures PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Siemens Insight software. Technical Documentation writing SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to already have a current Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance, but TS/SCI is preferred.
