JOB SUMMARY This position will serve as the accountant responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes supporting the North America Holding Companies, approximately 25 legal entities. This position will also be responsible for monthly and quarterly financial processes supporting the travel and employee expense reimbursement processes, including the cross charging of travel and expense charges to their designated location, the preparation and submittal of month-end expense accrual journal entries for all North America Dentsply Sirona locations. This position will also serve as a back-up for month-end accrual processing for the European Dentsply Sirona locations, which will require a working knowledge of the travel expense journal entry preparation and posting processes for the European locations. This position will also provide reporting and analysis of the travel and expense processing and prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for Dentsply Sirona. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Holding Company Accounting: * Coordinate and perform the monthly closing process, including month-end cutoffs, subsystem transaction processing groups, tax entries and corporate processing and reporting. This will involve close interaction with the Corporate Treasury, Tax and Financial Reporting groups. * Prepare, document, and process journal entries for one or more Holding Companies as defined by the monthly close checklists and accounting policies and procedures. * Prepare and maintain yearly Budget and monthly Forecast for Holding Company financials. * Perform financial reporting for the Holding company ledger, including, Hyperion FDM, FDM processes, FDM ledger to consolidation reporting mapping, HFM, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to corporate and special tax schedules. * Perform ERP accounting duties such as open and close periods, enter exchange rates, perform subsystem exchange revaluations, add or update account and dimension setup, add or update dimension set rules, and other such duties as defined on the checklists. * Manage Vendor Payments - Receive invoices, obtain approvals, apply coding and submit to Treasury for payment. Travel and Expense Accounting: Monthly * Prepare monthly accrual entries for all North American locations. * Provide support for International accrual entries, as needed. * Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up reconciling items in a timely manner. * Track and monitor employee repayment transactions and processing. * Prepare journal entries to properly record employee personal charges incurred on PNC T&E credit card. Prepare journal entries to cross-charge travel and related expenses between Dentsply Sirona locations. * Provide support for data issues in the monthly data extraction from Data Basics as needed. * Submit approved journal entries for posting to the general ledger. * Interact and coordinate activities with the General Ledger/Record to Report team. Quarterly * Prepare manual journal entry to allocate the quarterly rebate received from PNC Bank to North American Dentsply Sirona locations. Worldwide Royalties Accounting: * Prepare Quarterly reporting template for distribution to all Dentsply Sirona divisions worldwide. * Compile results and calculate Royalties to be paid. * Submit payment requests and confirm payments have been issued according to agreed due dates * Communicate as needed with Royalty recipients Other Duties: * Interact with finance personnel regarding adjustments, special journal entries, etc. * Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly filed and stored in accordance with policy. * Reconcile balance sheet accounts within the policy established by the Corporate Finance Accounting Manual during the closing period. * Perform account reconciliations by defined due dates and resolve reconciling item for assigned location(s) on monthly basis. * Other duties and activities as assigned by management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline. * Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in accounting or finance.
