Description MAJOR FOCUS: Prepares food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe sanitary work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Stocks food service stations, tags or labels food items on the buffet line, and readies line for inspections by the Sous Chef. * Replenishes the food service line and keeps it clean and orderly. * Makes food garnishes fresh every day for display on the buffet service line. * Makes salads and prepares food to order at live stations as directed. * Provides clean dinner plates for customers. * Monitors the proper food temperatures on the buffet line, for both the hot and cold foods, and maintains appropriate temperature records. * Breaks down the line at closing, eliminating waste, storing or discarding remaining food items as directed. * Cleans the ice cream machine at closing. * Provides exceptional customer service. * Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations. * Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests. * Follows all relevant policies and procedures. * Complies with the company's recycling program standards. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: * Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements * High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience. * Previous experience in food preparation with basic cooking techniques preferred. * Clean appearance, friendly and co-operative. * Must be able to communicate in English in order to communicate with guests. * Must possess good communication skills. * Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled. * Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed. * Must be able to successfully pass a background check. * Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
