The Accountant is responsible for accounting, estimating, invoicing, reporting, and CAS/FAR compliance for US Federal Government contracts and grants for a biopharmaceutical supplier to key government agencies Responsibilities include but not limited to- * Assist in the preparation of Bids and Provisional Indirect Rates . * Assist in the Preparation of forward pricing rates . * Prepare Billings and Revenue calculations for different projects * Prepare / Review Cost Proposals and Contract Modification or Grant Modification Proposals . * Assist Project managers in understanding Government Compliance requirements for the project * Assist in the preparation of the annual Incurred Cost Submissions . * Provide interface and support for Government Audits and support audit request for information . * Assist to update policies and procedures, to include the company's Disclosure Statement in compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA). Education, Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent; 5 plus years' experience with Accounting in a Government CAS/FAR environment . Experience with corporate / contract accounting / reporting functions, GAAP knowledge, CPA a plus . Must have worked with Cost Reimbursable type contracts. Strong knowledge of Government accounting principles; write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; communication with key government contacts and assisting in negotiating contract terms.
