Upper School Mathematics Teacher (Interim) National Cathedral School for Girls, Washington DC National Cathedral School announces a search for an interim Mathematics teacher in the Upper School. This one-year position begins in August 2018 and concludes in June 2019. NCS math teachers use a variety of techniques in the classroom and are comfortable integrating technology into the curriculum. The school expects candidates to have an ability to use differentiated instruction. NCS seeks an experienced classroom teacher who has a background in curricular and pedagogical innovation. Responsibilities for this position also include collaboration and full participation in a school-wide math department to ensure excellent scope and sequence. The position includes teaching four sections of Upper School mathematics. Teachers are expected to be at school from 7:45 am through 3:45 pm, although occasionally there will be days when meetings are held before or after school; faculty are also expected to participate regularly in the life of the school during the work day and occasional after-school or evening events. Other responsibilities may include homeroom, grade-level discussions, regular department, division, and faculty meetings, and other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred, and have relevant teaching experience.
