Job Description Prepare medications. May measure, mix, count out, label and record amounts and dosages of IV or highly regulated medications according to prescription orders following Long Term Care Pharmacy policies, regulations and procedures. May have responsibility for compliance functions. A cents € cents Prepack bulk medicines, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and affix labels. Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs. Mix pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions. A cents € cents Perform pharmacy IV inventory control. A cents € cents Perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding activities. A cents € cents Perform sanitation, maintenance, and tracking of infusion equipment. A cents € cents Perform sanitation and maintenance of the IV cleanroom area. A cents € cents Ensure and maintain a safe and clean work environment A cents € cents Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies. A cents € cents Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications A cents € cents Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law. A cents € cents 1 year previous experience as a pharmacy technician including IV experience or Long term care pharmacy experience preferred A cents € cents 1 year previous hospital or home infusion experience preferred Preferred Qualifications A cents € cents Strong interpersonal skills and well developed verbal and written communication skills A cents € cents Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A cents € cents Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible A cents € cents Good math and analytic skills A cents € cents Excellent organization skills and detail oriented A cents € cents Must understand basic pharmacology; abbreviations, brand and generic comparisons in order to interpret prescriptions for filling. Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
