Description: Job Summary The Leidos Airborne Integration & Ground Processing Systems operation of the Advanced Solutions Group currently has a career opportunity for a Electrical CAD Drafter to support the Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced (ARL-E) program located in Manassas, VA. ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the US Army with upgrading and enhancing the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to use your CAD skills and experience in avionics to help in designing and maintaining electrical systems on the US Army's Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced mission DHC-8-300 fleet. Primary Responsibilities In this position your primary responsibilities will include generating and revising avionics-related electrical drawings using CAD software packages. This shall include cable assembly and cable installation drawings, as well as revising wiring diagrams, per standard engineering drafting practices. Secondary responsibilities may include avionics integration research, drawing peer reviews, assisting cable production and installation, and design improvement recommendations. You will report to Lead Electrical Engineer, but will interact closely with mechanical engineering team, mission integration team and program management. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications High school diploma 1-3 years of Electrical AutoCAD (or similar drafting software) experience Experience drafting and revising cable drawings and wiring diagrams Knowledge of avionics systems (ie power, comms, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and possess strong time management skills Must be a US Citizen/be able to obtain DoD TS/SCI security clearance Preferred Qualifications Aviation background Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance Leidos Overview: Leidos is a global science and technology solutions leader working to solve the world s toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
