PATHWAYS SUMMER STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:
You MUST be either currently enrolled, or accepted for enrollment into a qualifying educational program beginning the next available school term to qualify for this program. Enrollment must be in an accredited high school, community college, vocational or technical program, undergraduate, graduate, or professional program that culminates in a diploma, certificate or degree.
GS-1: Enrollment in a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) program.
GS-2: Successful graduation from an accredited High School or GED diploma.
GS-3: Successful completion of at least one full academic year of post-high school study.
GS-4: Successful completion of at least two full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
GS-5: Successful completion of four academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
TYPING REQUIREMENT: Applicants for this position must be a qualified typist (at least 40 words per minute).
This position has an education requirement and a GPA requirement of a cumulative 3.0 or higher. Grade-point averages are to be rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.95 will round to 3.0 and 2.94 will round to 2.9.
Education Documentation Required: Verification of student status and education level must be submitted with your application. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. Official transcripts will be required prior to your starting work. If you do not provide these documents, along with a resume, then your application will be incomplete and you will not be considered.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Conditions of Employment:
- Program Completion and Conversion: Program participants may be non-competitively converted to a career/conditional or term position (lasting between 1-4 years). If not converted at the completion of the academic program, the appointment ends, and the intern is terminated.
