The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise on Arc Publishing product offerings to the appropriate decision makers at customers and prospects across the country. This include being able to provide technical support to the sales team, present detailed technical specifications and understand customers' requirements with regards to product modifications.


  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
  • Support market research and new products development
  • Organized and analytical, be able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches


  • A technical background, preferably in software engineering and marketing
  • Can demonstrate a track record of consistently exceeding professional objectives
  • This position requires up to 50% travel
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
  • At least 3-7 years of experience as a sales engineer selling software solutions
  • Strong organizational, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic group environment and under deadline pressures
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
