Media Design/Graphic Design Continuing Instructor

Responsibilities

The Department of Communication and Media Design invites applications for a continuing instructor position to teach courses in graphic design and media design for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Course offerings include Visual Communication Design, Electronic Publishing; Typography; Publication Design; Communication and Design Studio; Software labs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects); etc.

Courses are taught in a hands-on studio environment, with lectures on terminology, design theory and practice.

This position is not eligible for tenure.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design, Media Design, Visual Communication or closely-related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

MFA in Graphic Design, Media Design, New Media, Visual Communication.
