The Creig Northrop Team has been part of Long & Foster for many years and gives great credit to Long & Foster and the leadership team for contributing to the success the team has already achieved.Job DescriptionReporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Administration is responsible for the efficient and effective administrative operation of Northrop Realty and for ensuring delivery of exemplary client service from all staff functions. This individual will be in a critical leadership role and will act as a responsible advocate for office and staff concerns and needs. The Director of Administration will oversee all office locations, company technology, human resources, and management of our administrative staff. The Director of Administration must have both leadership and time management skills for managing not only people but resources as well. The candidate will work to improve processes and policies and lead long term organizational planning. This individual is expected to be an exceptional communicator and relationship builder as they will collaborate frequently with Executive Leadership. In charge of human resources -- including hiring and training practices -- the Director of Administration will also manage employee benefits, such as health insurance and paid time off. Impeccable communication skills are necessary for working with our employees to implement and maintain strong relationships. The Director of Administration will also oversee the administrative staff and ensure that the administrative functions of each department run smoothly. The candidate will be responsible for keeping employee records up to date. If Executive Leadership needs to travel for business, the Director of Administration will be responsible for making any travel arrangements necessary. The Director of Administration will also act as a liaison with our Employment Attorney. Specific Responsibilities Include: Strategic Leadership: This individual will provide overall strategic and tactical leadership to ensure all office functions and staff are aligned in providing seamless agent and client service. They will provide leadership in addressing current and anticipated needs by developing and deploying effective solutions in concert with the overall companys objectives.Operational Leadership: The individual is responsible for creating a culture of operational excellence and accountability in managing business processes and activities in support of both the agents and clients. Additionally, the individual will maintain best-in-class service levels.Communication Leadership: This individual will conduct periodic office and department meetings to ensure all staff is kept informed of significant office and company information. In addition, meetings will be conducted with Leadership as appropriate to communicate business goals and objectives.Human Resources: This individual will oversee the organizations human resources requirements; including employee on-boarding, managing and administering health and other employee benefits, maintaining personnel records, monitoring insurance coverage and ensuring that personnel policies are up-to-date.Manage Administrative Staff: for all office locations.Technology: This individual will work closely with our IT company to manage our phone system and evaluate our technology needs.Coordinates long-term organizational planning: coordinates the implementation and operation of Northrop Realtys strategic plan.Other responsibilities as assigned by Leadership. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven management leadership skills, while taking a hands on implementation approach when needed, for a small to mid-size organization.Solid business acumen, strong operational skills, and a track record for delivering results.Have past success in building relationships and trust with executives and staff at all levels. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.Flexibility and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Be able to balance competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.Have the ability to change direction quickly to meet the dynamic needs of the company.Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as be proactive.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate in a compelling fashion.Ability to use considerable judgment, initiative and independence.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work comfortably with employees, with sensitivity to issues as they arise. Education and Experience Minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in a real estate or professional services organization is required.BA degree in business or human resources or related field preferred.Human resource experience highly desirable.
