Examples of specialized experience include: Resolve routine problems and conflicts with the staff and parents; Notifies parents when children are ill and/or contact proper medical authority; Assist Director in preparing annual operating budgets and request for new equipment and major projects; Prepare payroll and maintains record of leave and absences; Exercise responsibility in enforcing health, fire, and safety and facility program regulatory requirements; Orders supplies and equipment as needed for the CDC; In absence of the Lead Teacher, substitues in any classroom to provide oversight and leadership; Ensure policies and procedures are followed; Maintain child development records; Observes and reports significant individual and group behaviors of children to the director and parents.

- Knowledge of child development norms, behaviors, growth, and progress necessary to accomplish assigned duties and responsibliities which promote a child's physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual growth and development.
- Ability to independently plan and carry out assignment
- Skill in communicating effectively and at appropriate levels with children, parents, staff and supervisor about a variety of subject matters relating to the early childhood field
- Practical knowledge of local, state and agency regulations covering child development operations.
