- Updates and recommends changes to the OEP and COOP plans as needed and implements instructions related to national policy.
- Conducts Physical Security assessments and inspections.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level obtained in the public sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.) Examples of specialized experience include such duties:
- Serving as component representative at Departmental and Agency level;
- Developing guidance and apply programs, procedures and contingency plans based on a risk approach and proposes solutions that monitor, evaluate and enable resolution to safeguard the workforce, reduce property loss, and support mission continuity;
- Providing strategic direction, vision, and leadership; planning, conducting, performing or coordinating on site security studies, projects, assessments, and assessing plan effectiveness, and recommending plan improvements to improve responses to emergencies; developing, organizing and conducting security training;
- Coordinating the installation of security systems.
