DCS is seeking a Process Improvement Analyst within the F/A-18 & EA-18G IPT Process Resource Task Team. Assist with the deployment of institutionalized processes, best practices and organizational standards in alignment with the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and System Engineering Technical Review (Tailored) (SETR (T)). Support of process improvement efforts for both initiating and sustaining change while facilitating these efforts on a continued basis and deploy standard project lifecycle processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with CMMI-based process improvement activities by supporting F/A-18 & EA-18G IPT Task Team Leads, Product Leads and Block Managers in the adoption of organizational project lifecycle processes.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of process descriptions, in collaboration with affected groups ensuring processes are maintained.
Assist with fostering the institutionalization and optimization of best practices and continuous process improvement.
Track and monitor status of process improvement efforts, tasks and risks.
Evaluate organizational and project level processes to identify improvements and develop a plan of action.
Ensure all critical elements of the process and product aspects of project development and maintenance are retained for use in future improvements while involving and communicating with impacted stakeholders.
Maintain collaborative working relationships with team members, contractors and both US and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) personnel to obtain, plan for, and deploy new processes, configuration/data management (CM/DM) support tools.
Monitor and audit process compliance against the organization's project lifecycle standards and schedule.Requirements
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience is required. An Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or high school diploma plus 13 years of related experience will also be considered.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to plan, track and communicate status, risks and needs.
Be familiar with the NAVAIR 00-25-300, Technical Directives System and associated Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Practical experience with F/A-18 functionality.
Able to work in a highly collaborative and collegial environment, but also be able to operate with full autonomy.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Visio).
Life Cycle Logistics Defense Acquisition University (DAU) certification.
Familiarity and/or prior experience with NAVAIR acquisitions IPTs.
Prior experience interfacing with OEM program management, tech pubs personnel and Logistics Elements Managers.
