Specialized experience includes experience applying human resources and information technology knowledge to provide technical advice and/or recommendations on the operation or enhancement of HR information systems; using automated human resources information systems to perform workforce data analysis and develop reports AND at least three of the following areas: 1) Consulting and advising employees on payroll and leave issues; 2) Researching, interpreting and applying Federal laws, regulations, policies, and/or OPM guidelines related to pay and leave; 3) Troubleshooting complex payroll issues with outside payroll providers; and 4) Creating dashboards, scorecards, or similar deliverables using workforce data analysis.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Such experience must be clearly documented in the applicant's resume.
