  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must be a member of the Acquisition Corps, become a member, or obtain a waiver at the time of selection and sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position.
  • In order to qualify for this Logistics Management Specialist position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.     Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Logistics Management Specialist experience at or equivalent to the DS-05 STRL Pay Band or equivalent GS-Grade Level (GS-12/13) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following most of the following: (1) Conducting and providing root cause analysis of readiness and cost degraders affecting the sustainment of aviation weapons systems; (2) Providing technical support to team members in the delivery of all integrated logistics support (ILS) elements and execution of acquisition/sustainment strategy for aviation program; (3) Planning, directing, and monitoring to manage and evaluate assigned logistics maintenance policy program areas; (4) Assessing ILS and managing ILS and Readiness Improvements for aviation programs/projects; (5) Applying working knowledge of logistics and operational data information systems to quantify factors/drivers that influence fleet readiness and operating and support costs; (6) Utilizing information system software programs to compile, organize and synthesize logistical data into information to support assessments and provide technical recommendations in the area of fleet readiness and resource efficiencies; (7) Determining resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program; and (8) Advising management and colleagues on difficult logistical problems and proposing options and alternatives.
