This position assists in the marketing efforts of the National Symphony Orchestra; maintains Ecommerce, Key Dates, Yahoo and Affinity Offers schedules; creates extractions for monthly direct mail pieces; cultivates active and mutually beneficial relationships with NSO In Your Neighborhood (IYN) partners that will help spread news and promotions about NSO events; and coordinates discount creation with the appropriate box office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

30%     Works with NSO Marketing Manager, Advertising Writers, and Subscriptions Office to ensure updated Ecommerce, Key Dates, and Yahoo and Affinity calendars.

20%     Create discounts and maintain relationships with National Symphony Orchestra IYN partners.

10%     Manage Third Party inventory allocations as well corporate fund discounts.

10%     Set up targeted affinity campaigns; research affinity contacts and conduct outreach via emails, phone calls, mailings, etc to further maximize revenue for NSO performances as dictated by NSO Marketing Manager

10%     Pull lists for monthly direct mail using extractions.

10%     Set up discounts (internal and external), in collaboration with the box office, IT, and marketing.

5%       Assist in execution of Surprise and Delight activities and other retention activities

            designed to support subscription efforts.

5%       Implement post-concert survey collection and reporting to share with key stakeholders.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s required, experience in marketing preferred. Familiarity with Tessitura is appreciated, but not required.

Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required

  • Employee must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. In addition, the incumbent must be detail-oriented and comfortable with oral and written communication.
