    To qualify for this position you must meet the following Basic Requirements for this series:

    1. A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree with a major in any field; or,

    2. At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

    In addition to the Basic Requirements above, you must meet at least ONE of the qualifications requirements described under A, B or C below:

    A. Specialized Experience:

    Grade 09: You qualify for this position if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service or comparable pay band system. For this position specialized experience is defined as: reviewing the policy-compliant procurement of goods and services for the museum through use of purchase orders, purchase cards, and online travel tools; ensuring the purchase card charges loaded into financial system; and applying the general contracting procedures regarding the use nd expenditures of federal funds, as applied to use of the Government Purchase Card.

    Grade 11: You qualify for this position if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal service or comparable pay band system. For this position specialized experience is defined as: identifying the policy-compliant procurement of goods and services for the museum through use of purchase orders, purchase cards, and online travel tools; reviewing and approving of purchase card charges loaded into financial system; and providing technical direction and general contracting procedures to staff regarding the use and expenditures of federal funds, as applied to use of the Government Purchase Card.

    B. EDUCATION:

    Grade 9: Two full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or masters or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D, related field to the position.

    Grade 11: Three full academic year of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral in a related to the field to the position.

    To qualify for this GS-1102 position on the basis of graduate education, graduate education in one or a combination of the following fields is required: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

    C: COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: You may meet the minimum requirements for this position, if you have a combination of education and experience as described. Total percentage of education and experience must equal at least 100 percent to qualify under this provision.

    Exceptions: Employees in GS-1102 positions will be considered to have met the standard for positions they occupy on January 1, 2000. Employees who occupy GS-1102 positions at grades 5 through 12 will be considered to meet the basic requirements for other GS-1102 positions up to and including those classified at GS-12.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience. Be sure to note the number of paid or unpaid hours worked each week.

    1. Knowledge of purchasing and requisitioning methods used to obtaining services and supplies.
    2. Knowledge of contracting principles, laws, regulations and procedures applicalbe to pre-award and/or post award actions.
    3. Knowledge of Purchase Authorization Card (PAC) program, regulations, laws, policies and procedures in order to manage and administer the program, to resolve problems, and to assist customers.
    4. Skill in written communications to make presentations and reports.
