    I have a degree in an appropriate biological, medical, veterinary, or physical science, or in pharmacy that includes at least 30 semester hours in chemistry and physiology and 12 semester hours in pharmacology. Courses acceptable in meeting the 30-semester-hour requirement in chemistry and physiology are chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, general physiology, animal, human, microbial, or cellular physiology, biophysical, biochemical, and physiological relationships involved, courses in such subjects as cytology, embryology, cellular or microbial genetics, and biophysics may be used to meet this requirement. Courses acceptable in meeting the 12 semester -hour requirement in pharmacology are pharmacodynamics, pharmacotherapeutic, molecular pharmacology., courses dealing intensively with pharmacologically-oriented subjects may also be used to meet this requirement.

    Specialized Experience:
    RG-0405-00 (equivalent to GS-12)
    One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Experience includes: Participating in evaluating study designs, assay methodology, and sensitivity of the assay method of drug products and pharmacokinetics of chemical entities; performing pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamics modeling and analysis utilizing software such as WinNonLin, NONMEM, or WinBUGS; and developing written summaries of bioavailability, bioequivalence, and pharmacokinetic studies.

    Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.     1. Security and Background Requirements: This position requires a Secret Security Clearance. If not previously completed, a background security investigation will be required for all appointees.
