Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 or equivalent level. Specialized experience includes; Understanding and applying varied management principles, administrative regulations and operating procedures in support of at least three program areas associated with a resources management program (e.g., human resources, training, travel, budget, security, equipment, and facility management). Experience in briefing managers, advising customers, collaborating with stakeholders, and communicating recommendations regarding program operations and requirements. Experience in collecting data from a variety of sources, fact finding, analyzing data, resolving problems and issues, and preparing reports. Experience identifying program-related issues, analyzing problems, and developing written and/or oral recommendations for improvement.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: There is no substitution of education for experience.

Initial Probationary Period: You will be required to serve an initial probationary period of 2 years if one has not already been completed.

Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). You must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level. You will be subject to a random counterintelligence scope polygraph.
Drug Testing: This is a drug testing designated position. You must pass a drug test before your assignment to this position and you will be subject to random drug testing subsequent to your assignment.
Performance Appraisal: If you are a current Federal employee, you must be rated fully successful or higher on your current performance rating to be eligible for promotion. You may be asked to provide a copy of your performance appraisal during the evaluation and selection process.
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): You must be well qualified for the position to receive special selection priority under the ICTAP.
