IT Support Specialist
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The IT Support Specialist reports to the Director, IT and wears many hats. You’ll work with all levels of the organization to provide first-level support for routine issues regarding installation, operation, and usage of computer system software and business applications. Another exciting component of the role includes the audio visual and public address set up and video production support at ILSI’s meeting events. You’ll learn how to use the equipment such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment and how to edit and produce videos and publish them to social media networks. Do you like to travel? Some domestic and international travel is part of this job. Also, this position works a prescribed number of hours per pay period and may occasionally work less hours one day to make up for longer hours worked another day. We require an associate degree in a related field or equivalent technical certifications. The ideal candidate will have a proficiency in network hardware (i.e., workstations, servers, switches, routers, firewalls, printers, NAS, smartphones, and cloud servers/services) and network software including, but not limited to Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2008+, AD, DNS, DHCP, Backup Software, and RDP. The ability to learn and use video and picture editing software (i.e., Adobe Premier, Adobe Photoshop) is preferred but we will train the right person. These technical skills coupled with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are required.
