Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.

Job Summary:
Westat is seeking an Accounts Payable and Expense Manager to join our fast-paced collaborative corporate team. 

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage accounts payable staff (8) and functions, which includes timely, accurate and compliant processing and payment of a high volume of invoices and expense reports. · Manage departmental document retention processes. · Coordinate and control departmental period-end close and audit support activities. · Document and maintain departmental desk procedures and related processes. · Assist in continuous business improvement efforts, processes and initiatives to improve departmental quality and efficiency.

Basic qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree in a business related field and 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of related supervisory experience is required. · Knowledge of full cycle accounts payable processes including related tax rules. · Experience working in the private professional-services environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense. · Knowledge of DCAA rules and regulations. · Experience working in a federal government contractor accounts payable department. · Excellent data manipulation skills.
