Job Description: Sentara Medical Group is hiring a Division Training Specialist.

The Training Specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop and maintain necessary curriculum and training materials for job and task-specific education. Facilitates training within the division to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the specific functions or roles that improve individual and organizational performance. May include, but not limited to; financial applications/reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, operational initiatives, customer service and other programs. Provides classroom instruction as well as training and coaching within clinical settings and evaluates student performance.

Requirements:
Minimum of 3-years Healthcare, 1-year Medical Office, 1-year Medical Records Data, and 1-year training facilitation experience required.

Required: Healthcare - 3 years, Medical Office - 1 year, Medical Records Data - 1 year, Training Facilitation - 1 year

Other
Must have excellent facilitation and speaking skills with understanding of training methodology. Also requires strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills to work effectively with all levels across the division. Must have well-developed analytical and organization skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Prefer clinical background (i.e. Medical Assistant or LPN) in a medical office setting. Also prefer at least one year of experience using Epic EMR.
