The Program: The Division of Sport, Recreation and Tourism encompasses a dynamic cluster of programs. At the undergraduate level, SRT offers programs in Sport Management, Recreation Management, and Tourism and Events Management, with a concentration in Hospitality. This requires (a) coordinating with appropriate offices to develop projects designed to promote SRT, attract prospective students, and/or generate revenue; (b) representing SRT externally, for example, by conducting information sessions; (c) developing informational and promotional materials (social media, brochures, newsletters, videos); and (d) facilitating external partnerships that strengthen SRTs academic programs.

Required Qualifications: The individual in this position must have a Masters degree in Sport, Recreation, and/or Tourism/Events, and be qualified to teach introductory SRT courses, supervise field-based courses, and teach in one or more specialized areas such as program planning and evaluation; sport diplomacy; facilities, venues and events; and global perspectives. Other required qualifications include at least 2 years of work experience in the fields of sport management, recreational programming, and/or tourism, event, or hospitality management; familiarity with public relations and/or marketing strategies and techniques; ability to interact with and meet the needs of diverse stakeholders; and a commitment to inclusivity and collaboration with other faculty and program partners.

Preferred Qualifications: Qualifications in this category include experience in a higher education environment and a Masters-level credential combining two content areas within the domain of Sport, Recreation, Tourism and/or Events Management.
