The Development Assistant position is a multi-faceted role which involves providing support throughout the Development Department. Activities will include gift entry and processing (memberships, donations, pledge fulfillment); use of the Tessitura database to create reports, including mailing lists and constituent reports; photo ID management; and list management for special events. Prospect research, meeting preparation, and assistance with major donor membership and special events duties as assigned. Tasks are variable from week to week based on department needs.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is plus a minimum of two years’ experience in non-profit administration in a development operation, preferably in a public museum or cultural institution. Warm, professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with museum members, the general public and staff will be integral to your success. The ability to access and employ job-related computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Tessitura CRM) at a high level of proficiency.
