Technical/Specialized:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field, and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive fiscal experience, including a minimum of five (5) years managing and supervising staff. A graduate degree or a relevant certification (e.g., MBA, CFE, CPA, CISA, CIA, or CMA) is required.

Significant experience in applying non-profit fund accounting principles, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required. Experience in preparing or analyzing audited financial statements and reports, including reviewing and evaluating accounting policies and procedures and internal controls is required. Experience in performing financial audits and/or forensic accounting services with an accounting firm or consulting firm is highly preferred.

Capacity to interpret and understand regulations, including the LSC Act, that impact the fiscal responsibilities of an LSC grantee, and the ability to articulate and share with grantees the changes in practice necessary to comply with regulations. Capacity to effectively lead and supervise team members, including providing clear instruction and guidance to improve their knowledgebase and practice. Knowledge of federal policies and practices governing expenditures and the disposition of property and fund balances. Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and of the principles, practices, and concepts involved with planning, conducting, and reporting on fiscal reviews and assessments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
