Job Description: Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Non-Invasive Lab!

Shift: Full Time Days

Position Overview:
  • Our department is open Monday-Friday with rotating weekends. First RN arrives at 6:30A and others stagger in afterward.
  • Our nurses work in cardiac noninvasive diagnostic services. Our interdisciplinary team includes various professions such as RNs, echocardiographers, cardiac noninvasive techs, and transcriptionist. We also work closely with nuclear medicine and partners with cardiac and radiology providers.
  • RN's supervise nuclear and cardiac stress test (on the job training provided), administer medication related to echocardiographs and stress testing, assist with holter/event monitors.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Required: Registered Nurse

New Hire Education Requirement: All new RN's who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire. BSN or MSN preferred. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
