Motley Fool Freelance Writer (auf Deutsch)
Calling all German-language writers! Write about investing - and get paid to do it!
The Motley Fool, a global, multimedia financial-services company dedicated to helping the world invest -- better, has launched in Germany!
Who we're looking for
We are looking for talented investors and writers to educate, amuse, and enrich readers of our new German-language website, Fool.de.
If you love investing and you love to write… and if you are a native German speaker …
Then you might just be the perfect contributor to our freelance team!
Our goal is to share your sharp analysis and compelling writing with thousands of individual investors.
The Motley Fool freelance writer will write articles in German about publicly traded companies (mostly German), economic trends, investment strategies, and more.
- Native-level fluency in German
- Familiarity with German public companies
- Understanding of investing terms and concepts
- Previous writing experience
What's in it for you
Although this is a freelance position, our freelancers are encouraged to build a partnership with our editors and analysts and to build expertise in financial analysis, storytelling, and the Foolish writing style that has served as the foundation of our company's success in other markets.
We offer a pay structure that is clear, transparent, and competitive. For every, thoughtful, well-written article that makes specific and relevant mention of publicly traded companies and their tickers, we'll publish it and pay you. The more you can write, the more you'll get paid!
This could just be a starting point for your relationship with the Fool. There are additional incentives available for top-performing writers. And we keep an eye on the best writers and analysts -- those who truly work with us as partners -- and offer writer contracts to the best of the best. And that can lead to even bigger things.
If you're ready to get started, take a look at Fool.de or our English-language sites (fool.co.uk, fool.ca, fool.com, fool.com.au) to get an idea of the kinds of articles we are looking for and send a brief cover letter, resume, and a sample article of 300-500 words (in German) that you feel would fit in with our style to Matt Koppenheffer at mkoppenheffer@Fool.de.
Your sample should focus on a top DAX-listed company, and should be interesting, informative, and jargon-free. Please note: We cannot consider your application without the writing sample.
