This announcement is open to Recent Graduates. To be eligible, applicants must provide documentation of enrollment/graduation with dates of enrollment/completion. Recent Graduates must provide documentation that a degree was awarded by an institution of higher education not more than 2 years before date of appointment OR For Veterans, not more than four years since completion if completed a period of obligated uniformed service of more than four years.
General Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least GS-04, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Experience in quality control; quality inspection; contracting and purchasing; supply and storage; industrial or production planning; research and engineering; maintenance; or test and evaluation that provided experience with quality assurance or related work; experience with product or process; experience interpreting and applying contract requirements and engineering specifications; or experience with others in person-to-person work relationships.
Specialized experience is defined as: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-05). Specialized experience is defined as: Experience that involves monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services such as: reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements; OR reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans; OR analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system; OR verifying by test or inspection, using sampling inspection or
intensive product inspection techniques, that products comply with requirements prior to acceptance; OR identifying
inadequacies and requesting corrective action; OR computing data, summarizing results, and preparing reports or charts depicting pertinent relationships using statistical methods; OR investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports, and providing identification of causes to appropriate authorities; OR reading, interpreting, and applying technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical manuals; OR reviewing and evaluating supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections.

Superior Academic Achievement is obtained through: (1) Class standing - being in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision based on completed courses; (2) Grade-point average - (a) having a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on the official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) having a grade point average of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or, (3) Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society.
