We are looking for a Program Security Officer to perform a wide variety of tasks in the management and support of program security for the Government Program Manager. The PSO is responsible for all industrial security efforts of a Government SAP. The candidate must possess effective leadership skills that create a positive atmosphere of cooperation while successfully coordinating with supporting contractors and government agencies. We are looking for a results oriented leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities will include managing all functions of the Security program (i.e. physical security, classified cybersecurity, visitor control, security clearance processing, document control, classification management, contract security specification administration, COMSEC operations, security education and awareness, investigations, inspections, asset protection etc.).  The candidate will need to ensure compliance with government security regulations in all aspects of program work. The PSO will formulate security policy and procedures in a team environment and coordinate with Defense Security Service representatives and contractors to address and solve all manner of security problems. The PSO will guide enterprise self-inspections, perform Staff Assistance Visits, and participate in vulnerability assessments with a select group of DSS CADRE representatives.

The PSO should possess the ability to manage complex tasks and multiple priorities under strict deadlines. The candidate will recommend, implement and plan process improvements and enhancements to systems, including management of operating procedures, policies, and standards relating to current and emerging technologies.

The successful candidate will need to understand contracts, statements of work, and task orders to determine security requirements and provide security advice and guidance to Program Management. They will need to direct the implementation of contractual security requirements across a broad spectrum of contractor performers. Familiarity with SIMS document control software is desired.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years FSO/CPSO experience working for an organization that performed classified work for the Department of Defense
  • Must have a working knowledge of the NISPOM, 5205.07 Series, NIST 800-53 and Risk Managed Framework environment and process
  • Bachelor’ Degree in a related area or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 45 days per year

U.S. Citizenship Required. This position requires a current TOP SECRET clearance.
