As an Administrative Assistant in our Rockville, MD office, you will:

  • Manage the front desk of our Rockville office from 8:30am-5:00pm M-F
  • Answer & transfer incoming phone calls
  • Greet & direct employees & customers & answer questions
  • Coordinate in-house, web, & remote client meetings, conferences, & related travel
  • Support project managers with contract deliverables, correspondence, reports, presentations, & other administrative tasks
  • Order & maintain office supplies & office equipment
  • Issue parking permits & suite access
  • Disperse petty cash & reconcile invoices
  • Handle incoming & outgoing mail, packages, couriers, & faxes
  • Report maintenance & office-related issues to building management & ensure resolution
  • Run office-related errands
  • Maintain an organized & clean office
  • Perform other administrative support-related duties as assigned

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • AA/AS degree or 2 years equivalent post-secondary education from a U.S. DOE accredited institution, or HS Diploma/GED issued by the appropriate state & recognized by the U.S. DOE & equivalent professional experience
  • 2-4 years related professional experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Outlook & MS Office
  • Demonstrated proficiency in switchboard operation
  • Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay information to clients & employees in layman terms
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail & organization skills
  • Demonstrated arithmetic & basic financial skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work within a team
  • Ability to communicate w/diplomacy & tact & maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for running office-related errands
