Position Title: A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Consumer Loan Manager Reports to: A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Chief Member Officer Category: A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Exempt Status:A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Regular Full-Time A' A' Position Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the direct and indirect consumer loan programs and portfolios. Responsible for all lending related compliance, pricing, production, quality, and servicing functions of the Consumer Lending area.A' A' Develops, recommends, and implements programs, policies, or procedures for all areas of the consumer lending function. A' Tasks: Primary duties and responsibilities of the Consumer Lending Manager include but are not limited to the following: Technical tasks are as follows: Assists the Chief Member Officer in the development and implementation of the strategic Business Plan for Consumer Lending to help ensure growth, quality and diversification of the Consumer Loan portfolio as determined in the organization's Strategic Business Plan. A' Directs and monitors all consumer lending operations to ensure they meet or exceed organizational goals and objectives.Evaluates and recommends changes to Consumer Loan Policies, procedures and Guidelines to ensure a diversified and high quality consumer loan portfolio is maintained.Evaluates and recommends changes to consumer loan rates and terms to help ensure the credit union remains very competitive.Monitors the quality of the loan process and product delivery and takes action to resolve problems as necessary to improve performance. A' Ensures underwriting criteria are adhered to.A' Continuously enhances and streamlines processes and procedures to improve operational efficiencies and member service delivery.A' Responsible for the full administration and continued development of all loan related platforms including Meridian Link.A' Assists in the development and maintenance of automated loan approval and denial modules.A' Implements and monitors effective credit underwriting and cross sales efforts.A' Develops and monitors portfolio and individual underwriting standards to maintain acceptable consumer loan delinquency and loan losses.Closely monitors the performance of the indirect loan portfolio and the dealers involved with the program.A' Coordinates indirect lending efforts with the Business Development Department.Coordinates efforts with other areas on the organization to help ensure maximum effectiveness in the processing and approval of loan applications.Monitors the legal/regulatory/competitive environment of consumer lending.Displays a thorough working knowledge of and performs within all applicable laws and regulations related to lending including, but not limited to, REG B, ECOA, FCRA, and Reg Z.Responsible for consumer loan related forms development and maintenance.Processes non-mortgage related loan requests for executive employees of the credit union, board members, and volunteers.Manages applicable vendor partners to provide ancillary products and services and monitors their performance.Performs other duties as required and assigned.Reviews and acts on consumer loans that fall outside of the authority level of Consumer Lending staff.Develops, analyzes, and completes monthly loan performance reports.Performs all administrative functions of personnel management including staff scheduling, time card administration, vacation, sick leave processing etc.Perform periodic audits of consumer loan files to ensure quality and adherence to lending policies. Review loan approvals/denials for soundness of decisions.A' Performs aA cents € oepost mortemA cents € of charged off loans to ensure the quality of underwriting. Leadership and supervisory tasks are as follows: Provides leadership, motivation, and coaching to Consumer Lending staff.Acts as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) on systems available to Lending staff and other staff to assist in resolving loan questions, problems, corrections as necessary.Determines appropriate staffing levels based on loan volume.Collaborates with other departments within the Credit Union to continuously improve the consumer lending product line to meet member needs.Administrative responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and overseeing the training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving anizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel.Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the consumer loan department and/or their jobs; creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.Administers lending procedures.Handles member and staff complaints professionally and municates with and provides timely reporting to the CMO. Basic Qualifications: A' Dynamic, innovative, adaptable. Knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues.Knowledge of human resources issues, including performance management and progressive discipline.Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Periodic lifting of up to thirty-five pounds may be required.Bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling and reaching above and below the shoulder may be required. Preferred Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree required; will substitute work historyMust be eligible to register as a mortgage loan dustry knowledge.Thorough comprehension of credit risk management, credit administration, loan production and loan servicing.Thorough knowledge of TFCU's products and service.Strong knowledge of core processing system.WBOC 16.
