Rides - Supervisor
OverviewEnsures safe, smooth, efficient operation of assigned ride.QualificationsPrevious supervisory experience preferred. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned. Performs all duties of a ride host. Serves as a communication link between the rides host and the department. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with maintenance, safety and security. Verifies accuracy of time and attendance. Operates the ride in a safe manner. Ensure daily opening checklists and maintenance reports are completed. Train and certify employees on the operation of the ride including emergency procedures. Inform supervisor of any operational or mechanical problems. Schedule employees to ensure coverage of the location assigned. Maintain inventory of needed supplies for the location assigned. Maintains employee records and conducts performance appraisals on employees. Works closely with the rides hosts to ensure the quality of guest interactions. Prepares assigned location for operation on a daily basis. Supervise the assigned area to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
