Dymentum Health is seeking a Physician to provide part-time care and services for a population of approximately 1025 male offenders at Pocohantas State Correctional Center in Pocohantas, VA., Dymentum Health is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business with its corporate office located in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Dymentum Health provides worldwide support to the Department of Defense as well as Commercial clientele with staffing of qualified professionals in the fields of Information Security, Technology, Administrative and Health Care Services.* Provide general medical services to include performing physical examinations, prescribing medications, reviewing X-rays and lab reports, and other related duties. * Record a summary of the problems and/or symptoms, the diagnosis or diagnostic hypotheses, treatments, medications, and/or any other appropriate information in each patient's medical chart at the conclusion of every consultation. * Adhere to the Formulary established by the Department and/or clinically justify variances. * Consult with the Department's Office of Health Services regarding care of offenders on an as required basis. * Immediately notify the Department if any license or hospital privileges are denied, suspended or revoked; if any malpractice claims are filed; if any professional disciplinary action is taken; or if he/she has any physical, mental or emotional problems which might impact the performance of assigned duties. * Make referrals to specialists when necessary. * Use on-site office space provided by the facility during scheduled visits. * Utilize the services of Health Services personnel employed by the facility. * Provide additional visits to the facility in the event of emergency illness or injury. * Provide emergency medical services in doctor's office or hospital. * Provide employee health services which are required by the Department (eg employee physicals, emergencies). * Provide a monthly schedule, in advance, to the facility's Health Authority. * Provide a subcontractor/alternate physician for coverage during the Provider's absence. * Provide 24-hour telephone or beeper coverage. * Provide inpatient care, if possible. * Provide physician services at another DOC facility on a temporary basis as needed and as mutually agreed upon. Any services provided at another DOC facility must be approved in advance by the Department's Health Services Director and outlined in a written Contract Modification.* Shall be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance * Doctor of medicine degree from an accredited medical school * Copy of graduate medical training (residency/fellowship) * Current valid license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia * Current and valid Board certification * Current and valid DEA certificate * Current and valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) * Verification of any hospital privileges* 1-2 days per week, up to 20 hours per week, Professionals who take pride in their work and want to be appreciated for their efforts are encouraged to apply!
