OverviewPerforms various tasks as required in the maintenance of Park grounds and landscape. Peforms basic maintenance and repair on small machinery and equipment. Performs related work as assigned.QualificationsAbility to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Driver's License ResponsibilitiesOperates heavy equipment and machinery in the maintenance of park grounds. Includes: backhoe, gate, bush hogs, loaders, tillers, bulldozer, forklift, water trucks, cherry pickers, lawn tractors, jack hammers, drill wrenches, grinders, chainsaws and other various hand and power tools.Responds to acute animal pest control problems such as wasps, yellow jackets, mice, ants, snakes, etc. Helps in construction and repair of grounds and structures. Performs masonry, concrete, asphalt and block installation and repair work; install brick pavers.Assists in the duties of waste management by collecting and compacting cardboard, cleaning around trash compactors and pulling dumpsters.Assists and oversees the duties of the Wash Down operation: uses sweeper, blower and hoses to clean Park daily. Performs tasks of landscaping and ground maintenance including mulching, mowing, tree trimming, pruning, irrigation and hauling. Removes ice/snow as needed. Weeds, trims, rakes, fertilizes, plants, waters and perform general cleanup of shrub beds and grass areas in and around park. Blow, rakes and removes leaves and other plant debris from park.Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.Other duties may be assigned.
