All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status, or any other protected class.* Ensure timely completion of federal hiring paperwork for a series of Members of the National Language Service Corps. * On a regular, on-going basis, contact Members to 'shepherd' through the federal hiring process. * Follow up via phone call and emails. * Perform data entry in NLSC-specific databases. * Just-in-time documentation of outreach efforts in NLSC-specific databases. * Ensure compliance of all applicable regulations concerning the security of PII (Personally Identifiable Information). * Runs queries and prepares ad-hoc reports as needed. * Develops knowledge of relevant human resources procedures and practices, and relevant labor laws. * Participates in special projects as required.GENERAL SUMMARY: Primary focus is on Human Resources activities exclusively for a GDIT contract to develop and grow the National Language Service Corps (NLSC). This is a direct position exclusively for this General Dynamics IT contract. A first-of-its-kind government organization, the NLSC offers multilingual speakers the opportunity to volunteer their language skills and be a bridge to their language communities. These individuals, known as NLSC Members, speak, listen, read, and understand English and another language and make themselves available to help others when a US Government requirement arises. The NLSC has over 8,000 members currently with skills in well over 300 languages., Bachelors Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience., 0-2 years of related human resources experience. * Dependable, motivated, highly organized individual with HR experience in diverse, fast-paced office operations requiring strong problem solving skills. * Ability to work in a flexible, evolving organizational structure and develop strong relationships with all levels of employees internal and external to the contract. * Strong knowledge of applicable personnel and employment laws * Strong research skills and stakeholder relationship management skills with membership, internal staff and government agencies. * A proven ability to build rapport with individuals from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds * Strong attention to detail with a philosophy of creating a high-trust culture that fosters a strong team environment. * Ability to relate to individuals at all levels, with good understanding of diversity issues. * Demonstrated effective communication skills, including conflict resolution and strong customer service skills * Experience managing multiple projects and priorities and produce quality results under deadlines * Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and other office-related software applications. * Process oriented with strict attention to details * Excellent organizational, time management and analytical skills * Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and strict deadlines * Self-motivator; able to work independently and with little supervision * High level of integrity * Foreign language skills a plus * Understanding of different cultures a plus.
