Development of communication programs to promote Oracle*s products and services. Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Primarily a resource/ allocation role, coordinating the daily activities of a work group and setting priorities to ensure task completion. Supervises within prescribed procedures with management review and approval. Maintains orderly work processes by coordinating work flow and work quality. Provides technical/functional leadership, as well as first line supervision, but does not have hire/fire authority. Uses individual knowledge and skills to develop team members. As a member of Oracle s Content Central, you will be part of a core team of brand journalists who provide news, analysis, and editorial coverage of the latest innovations and trends in enterprise technology and business. You will be responsible for conceiving, researching, and producing high-impact content that is published on the Web and in our digital magazines and newsletters, and you will help edit and manage content that is published in those channels. To do all this, you will attend events and have access to all things Oracle, including our customers, internal product experts, and senior executives.10 years in business-technology journalism and editorial management Expertise writing, editing, and storytelling via news-analysis articles, columns, and other thought leadership content Experience engaging audiences through social media and online communities Top-notch reporting, writing, and editing skills Ability to work within an editorial newsroom environment, where highly relevant content is created and shared with audiences quickly Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud computing (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS), and emerging technologies Ability to recognize and explain how tech-enabled innovation can drive new business opportunities Experience working with and interviewing technologists, CIOs, and other C-level executives
